The visiting Brockport Golden Eagles led for 32 of the 40 minutes tonight as they handed SUNY Oneonta a 65-56 loss. The setback for Oneonta (13-9/8-7 SUNYAC) was its third in the last four games while the win for Brockport (14-7/9-5 SUNYAC) was its fourth straight.

The Red Dragons battled all the way back to 43-42 on a three-pointer by junior
Grant Massaroni (Rotterdam/Mohonasen) that capped an 8-0 run by Oneonta. Unfortunately that would be as close as Oneonta would be, as the Golden Eagles pulled away with a 12-5 run to push its lead back to eight points with just under six minutes remaining in the contest.

The differences in the game were in bench points, points in the paint and second chance points for Brockport. The Golden Eagle reserves outscored Oneonta's 34-13 while amassing 40 points in the paint. They also converted 16 offensive rebounds in 22, second chance points.

Sophomore Hamed Shamseldin led the Golden Eagles' balanced attack with 11 points.

Mikey McElroy (Saratoga Springs/Saratoga Springs) who scored 13 points. Senior
Jackson Zuvic (Cold Spring/Haldane) and junior
Lawrence Coleman (Croton on the Hudson/Hendrick Hudson) each scored 10 points.
