The SUNY Oneonta field hockey team dropped its regular season finale at home today to Rensselaer 2-1. Â Oneonta would fall to 4-12 on the season and the Engineers would improve to 10-7.
The Red Dragons found themselves in a hole 1-0 at halftime when RPI's Colleen Morris scored in the 30th minute.  She lifted the ball up and over the head of Oneonta goalie

The Red Dragons tied the score in the 47th minute on
Nicole Johnston (Bedford Village/Fox Lane)'s second goal of the year. Â Johnston received a pass from Carrissa Warren to score a goal on a penalty corner.
The Engineers scored the game-winner five minutes later on a goal by Mikaela DiBello. Â DeBello's goal would come on a rebound after back-to-back shots by Jena Dolinar.
RPI sophomore goaltender Rachel Kaufman made nine saves to earn her eighth victory of the season. Jones made six saves but dropped her second straight game.
The Red Dragons next match will come in the SUNYAC tournament semifinals against SUNY Cortland this upcoming Wednesday, Nov. 2
nd in Cortland beginning at 2pm. Â
