The SUNY Oneonta women's volleyball dropped a five set match against Ithaca College at Ben Light Gymnasium in Ithaca. The Bombers improved to 20-4 on the season and the Red Dragons drop to 9-15.
The Red Dragons would drop the first set, 20-25. They would turn it around for the next two sets winning 25-17 and 25-23. The Bombers would go on and win the next set, 10-25. In the fifth set the Red Dragons were tied with the Bombers at seven apiece. The Red Dragons would use junior
Sara Feldman (Smithtown/Smithtown East)'s serve and score the next four points to take a 11-7 lead. The Bombers would rally back and win the set 12-15.

Paige Carpluk (Yaphank/Bellport) had 15 kills and 11 digs. Classmate
Jessica Pelaccio (Verplanck/Hendrick Hudson) had a team high 19 assists. As a team, the Red Dragons out blocked the Bombers 9-1, leading the blocking charge for the Red Dragons was senior
Kassidy Kievit (Cincinnatus/Cincinnatus Central) with five blocks. Freshman
Victoria Moulder (Wantagh/Kellenberg Memorial) had four blocks and five kills for the Red Dragons.
Oneonta is back in action for SUNYAC play in Cortland this weekend. Their first match of the weekend is Friday October 21
st against SUNY Geneseo. Â
