The SUNY Oneonta wrestling team traveled to Wilkes University to compete in a Quad Meet today.  The Red Dragons went 3-0 beating West Virginia Tech, Scranton and Alfred State.
 
The Red Dragons were led by sophomore Anthony Messina (Farmingville/Sachem East) and senior Evan Wallace (East Greenbush/Columbia) who both went 3-0. Messina won all of his matches by decision and Wallace won his first and third match by pins.  He pinned Paul Gonzales of WV Tech in 4:30 and Alfred State's Brett Engebretson in 2:30.
 
Freshman Matthew Doty (Bayport/Bayport-Bluepoint High School) went 2-0 with two decisions over WV Tech and Alfred State.
 
The Red Dragons are back in action Saturday, February 6^th at the Williams College Quad Meet.
