The SUNY Oneonta men's basketball team remained perfect in 2016 with a 90-67 win at New Paltz in SUNYAC men's action tonight. Tonight's win marked the fourth straight for the Red Dragons, as they are now 10-3 overall and 5-1 in conference play.

Senior
Seth Thomsen (South New Berlin/Norwich) scored a career high 15 points to lead four players in double figures. Thomsen made 4-of-6 from long range, as the Red Dragons tied its season high of 11 makes from behind the arc.

Overall, Oneonta shot 57 percent from the floor including 62 percent in the second half when they turned a 12-point halftime lead into a 35-point lead with just over eight minutes left in the contest.

The Red Dragons outscored New Paltz (1-11/0-6 SUNYAC) 46-26 in the paint while turning 25 turnovers into 39 points. Oneonta's bench also contributed 37 points to the victory led by sophomore
Ian Schupp (New Hampton/Goshen), who came off the bench to score a season high 13 points. Schupp hit 3-of-5 from long range.

Jackson Zuvic (Cold Spring/Haldane) and
Mikey McElroy (Saratoga Springs/Saratoga Springs) rounded out Oneonta's double-digit scorers with 13 and 11 points respectively.

The Red Dragons dished out a season high 25 assists led by senior
Jack Dignan (Brewster/Brewster) who had eight helpers to go with five points. Dignan continues to lead the SUNYAC in assists and assist-to-turnover ratio.

Oneonta's next game is scheduled for next Friday night at home versus Buffalo State beginning at 7:30pm.
