The SUNY Oneonta field hockey team ran into No. 14 William Smith on Saturday and left town on the short end of a 5-1 score. The loss dropped Oneonta to 2-3 overall while the Herons improved to 4-0 on the season.
The lone goal for the Red Dragons was scored by freshman
Allyson Wells (Niskayuna/Niskayuna), who scored her fourth goal of the season. The goal came in the 37
th minute, from a scramble in front of the goal. Wells is the point leader for the Red Dragons through five games into the season, with nine points.

Krista Servedio (Shrub Oak/Lakeland) recorded a season high 12 saves bringing her overall season total to 39 saves.
The Red Dragons will be back in action against Susquehanna University this Saturday, Sep. 19
th. The game will be held in Selinsgrove, PA beginning at 1pm.
