Â
In last night's game, Brockport jumped out to an early 8-0 lead before Oneonta settled into the contest. A 9-3 spurt by the Red Dragons over the final eight minutes of the first half brought them to within one point at 22-21 at halftime.
Â
A Pair of free throws by senior
Frankie Kelly (Brewster/Kennedy Catholic) gave Oneonta its only lead of the game, 42-41, with 5:54 remaining in the game. On the ensuing possession, Brockport canned a three to regain the lead.
Â
A pair of free throws by Coleman brought Oneonta to within one point with 1:39 to go. The Red Dragons still trailed, 53-52, with 17 seconds left. The Red Dragons missed a pair of three-pointers on back-to-back possessions and Geneseo converted three free throws for the final margin of victory.
Â

Â
Oneonta will close out the regular season at home next weekend when they host Fredonia and Buffalo State on Friday and Saturday. The Red Dragons are still in the mix for the conference tournament with tiebreakers against Cortland and New Paltz who are battling for the final spots. The top six teams qualify and the first round is Tuesday, Feb. 24.
