Collegeville, Pa. – The SUNY Oneonta wrestling team travelled to Ursinus College to partake in the North/South Duals. The Red and White picked up wins over Elizabethtown (33-12), Merchant Marine (24-18) and nationally ranked Stevens Institute of Technology (21-19) before falling to nationally ranked Ursinus (23-15).

Shaun Gillen (Bohemia/Connetquot) and James Bethel (Saugerties/Saugerties) led the way for the Red Dragons, each posting a 4-0 record. Gillen posted a trio of decisions and a major decision in the 174 pound weight class on the day. His decisions came against Ezekial Zimmer of Elizabethtown (7-5), Jake Sherman of Merchant Marine (3-1), and Zachary Bass of Stevens (7-3) before capping his day with an 11-3 major decision of Cody Richmond of Ursinus.

Bethel earned his first three victories via fall before finishing off his day with a tech fall. The rookie earned falls over Benjamin Martin of Elizabethtown, Dominick Acerado of Merchant Marine, and Chris Fiorek of Stevens before taking a tech fall from Ursinus's Nick Pistuzzi 17-1.

Evan Wallace (East Greenbush/Columbia) and Mitchell Fisher (Canandaigua/Canandaigua Academy ) each posted 2-0 marks on the day. Wallace pinned Jordan Moser of Elizabethtown and Mike Mays of Merchant marine in the 157 pound class, while Fisher pinned Elizabethtown's Rafi Sayada and took an 11-9 decision of Nick Watson of Merchant Marine.

Senior Chad Obzud (Cohoes/Lansingburgh) posted a 3-1 mark in the duals pinning Erick Eckstein of Elizabethtown and Paul Aaroe of Ursinus and taking down Rickey fisher of Merchant Marine 9-7.
The Red and White return to the mat on next Saturday when they host the ECWC Championship in Dewar Arena.
