The SUNY Oneonta wrestling team opened 2014 last night with a dominating performance at Scranton. Oneonta (2-6) walloped the Royals (5-8) by the score of 42-3. The Red Dragons won nine of 10 bouts including two by pinfall.
Oneonta's two pins came at 133 lbs. and 157 lbs. by freshman
John Hodes (Stone Ridge) and sophomore Samuel Rachman respectively. Hodes made quick work of Thomas Porres, pinning him in 30 seconds, while Rachman pinned Rob Leavy less than one minute into the second period at 3:53.
