Playing shorthanded due to three of its top players competing at the ITA Northeast Regional championships in Geneva, the SUNY Oneonta women's tennis team was defeated at home today, 6-3, by Farmingdale State.

The winners for Oneonta in the match were senior Jenna Conklin (Wilton/Saratoga Springs) and sophomore Kelly Gochan (Lake Grove/Sachem North) at third and fifth singles respectively.  Oneonta's first point came at third doubles with senior Abigail Smith (Seneca Falls/Mynderse Academy) and freshman Olivia Stauffer (Huntington/Harborfields) winning 8-5.

Oneonta's next match will be next Saturday, Oct. 5 at home versus Scranton beginning at 1pm.
