The SUNY Oneonta men's basketball team sewed this one up early tonight, as they routed visiting Fredonia 79-67.  The Red Dragons led by as many as 26 points in the second half before emptying the bench to handle the final five minutes of the contest.

Sophomore Zach Mager (New City/Clarkstown South) scored 19 of his game high 26 points in the opening half when Oneonta (3-19/2-13 SUNYAC) raced out to a 45-31 lead.  The Red Dragons shot 57 percent from the field in the first half including 7-of-13 from long range.

Junior Dan Lee (Ballston Lake/Shenendehowa) and freshman Jack Dignan (Brewster/Brewster) also reached double figures tonight for Oneonta with 10 points apiece.

Fredonia (6-14/2-12 SUNYAC) had three players in double figures led by freshman Robert Lyles.  Senior Amir Billups scored 11 points while junior Tyrone Clark added 10 points.

Oneonta is scheduled to be home again tomorrow versus Buffalo State.  Weather permitting; the game is set to tip-off at 4pm.
