The SUNY Oneonta wrestling team opened its dual-meet schedule today with its participation in the annual John Reese Duals hosted by Wilkes University.  The Red Dragons ended up dropping all three of its matches against nationally ranked squads from Wilkes, Johns Hopkins and Messiah.

Senior Chad Obzud (Cohoes/Lansingburgh) led the Red Dragons with a 3-0 record on the day.  In his first match of the day, he pinned Kory Johnson of Johns Hopkins before receiving a forfeit versus Messiah in his second match.  He won his third match against Seth Gray of Wilkes by a major decision, 13-4.

Those wrestlers earning two wins in dual action were senior Ben Mikac (Williamsville/Williamsville East) (2-1), junior Stephen Provenzano (Islip/Islip) (2-1) and sophomore Shaun Gillen (Bohemia/Connetquot) (2-1).
