The SUNY Oneonta wrestling team won eight of 10 bouts today en route to a lopsided 36-6 victory against Oswego on the road. The win for Oneonta moves them to 5-7 in dual matches while the loss for the Lakers dropped them to 3-8.
In picking up wins in the first five weight classes, the Red Dragons earned two by pin fall. Freshman
Zachary Aal (Dix Hills/Half Hollow Hills) got things going at 125 lbs. with a pin in 2:01 against Johnny Marquez. Classmate
Joseph Gates (Bohemia/Connetquot) pinned Quamaine Thomas at 141 lbs. in 2:19 to give Oneonta a 15-0 lead after three bouts.

Obzud won his match by pin while Valastro, Graff and Du Vall all recorded major decision wins. Mikac won in the first overtime period, 5-3, against Omar Santiago and VanBuren won a close 6-4 decision over Eric Anderson.
Oneonta will host King's College this Wednesday in Chase Gymnasium beginning at 7pm.
