NEW PALTZ, N.Y.—The SUNY Oneonta volleyball team competed this weekend in the first SUNYAC East pool play hosted by New Paltz and came away with an even split of its four matches. The Red Dragons fell to Cortland and New Paltz on Friday, but bounced back on Saturday to defeat Potsdam and Plattsburgh.
Oneonta will have a week to recover before getting back into action this coming Friday when they play SUNYIT in the opening match of the 41st annual Oneonta State Invitational. The 11-team, two-day event will conclude late Saturday afternoon with the championship match.
