ITHACA, N.Y. – The SUNY Oneonta volleyball team split its four matches this weekend at the Bomber Invitational hosted by Ithaca College. After the first two weekends of play, the Red Dragons are 2-6 on the season.
The Red Dragons began play on Friday afternoon with a win against Rutgers-Newark, 3-1, before being swept by host Ithaca, 3-0. On Saturday, Oneonta outlasted St. John Fisher in five sets, 3-2 before dropping its final match of the tournament to SUNY Geneseo, 3-1.
Sophomore
Brittany Calvello (Gloversville) led Oneonta this weekend and was selected to the All-Tournament Team for her performance during the Invitational. She finished the two-day event with team highs in kills (32) and assists (70). She also added 19 digs and five block assists.
