ONEONTA, N.Y.—The SUNY Oneonta wrestling team opened the dual-match portion of its schedule in a big way tonight, easily defeating RIT, 27-6. The Red Dragons won eight of the 10 weight classes as they cruised to its first win of the season.

Oneonta won six of its eight matches by decision while recording one major decision and one technical fall. Junior Jimmy Neal (Glens Falls) recorded the tech fall for Oneonta at 174 lbs. as he won 17-2 against Collin Doane, ending the match in the third period.

Oneonta's major decision came at 149 lbs. as ECWC Rookie of the Week, Dan Graff (LaGrangeville), remained undefeated on the season with a 10-0 victory against Kyle Hoffer.

RIT recorded its only wins at 125 lbs. and 184 lbs. as Mike Nguyen and Tyler Brent each won by decisions.

Oneonta is off to Wilkes University this Saturday to compete in the John Reese Duals.
