Kathryn Kubaryk (Warrensburg/Warrensburg)# had a goal and an assist helping the SUNY Oneonta Field Hockey team to a 3-1 victory over visiting Houghton on Saturday afternoon at Oneonta's All College Field. With the victory the Red Dragons improve to 3-7 on the season while the Highlanders fall to 3-5.
Stoll gave Oneonta the initial lead of the game in the 18th minute of play taking control of the ball near the left side of the goal and putting it by the Houghton keeper to make it 1-0, Oneonta.
Three minutes later Kubaryk added to Oneonta's lead running the ball through the circle and taking a shot right in front of the goal to make it 2-0.
Beginning the second half with a two goal lead, Stoll added another goal five minutes into the second half when she took a pass from Kubaryk amid a cluster in front of the goal and put it by the keeper to make it 3-0.
The Highlanders would not give up though putting a goal on the board two minutes later when freshman Sierra Mitchell (Rochester/Gates-Chili) found classmate Rachel Stefanski (Wallingford, CT/Lyman) amid a cluster inside the circle. Stefanski's shot found the back of the goal to close the gap to 3-1 but would not be enough as Oneonta held on for the victory.

Leslie Dauphinais (Harpursville/Harpursville)# finished the day with one save in goal while Houghton keeper Emily VanEenwyk (Bergen/Cornerstone Christian) made 10 saves.
The Red Dragons will return to action on Wednesday when they play host to Ithaca in a non-conference game beginning at 4:00 p.m.
