Valencia enters her first season as an Assistant Coach with SUNY Oneonta. Graduating from Oneonta in Dec. 2019, she began her career in New York City while continuing her graduate studies at CUNY Hunter College as a behavior therapist.
Â
Valencia also returns to Oneonta to work as a Behavior Specialist at Springbrook’s Tom Golisano Center for Autism after completing an internship during her undergraduate career. Â
Â
Valencia began her volleyball career at Oneonta as a walk on during Coach Coyle’s first year as head coach for the red dragons women’s volleyball team. She was a three-year member of the volleyball team playing in 57 career matches totaling 147 sets while also serving as team captain.
Â
During her final season, her team made it to the SUNYAC semi-finals. A member of the Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society and three-year SUNYAC Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll, Valencia was a true exemplar of what a student athlete is to the red dragon community.
