Mihalek will enter her first season with Oneonta in 2017 after an accomplished career as a volleyball student athlete at Eastern Connecticut State University.
A 2017 Magna Cum Laude graduate of ECSU majoring in History with minors in Pre-Law and Political Science, Mihalek was a four-year standout for the Warriors and left the program as its all-time leader in kills and attack attempts. She was a four-time All-Conference selection in the Little East and was selected as the ECSU Female Athlete of the Year.
Academically, Mihalek was a member of both the Omicron Delta Kappa and Chi Alpha Sigma Epsilon Honor Societies. She earned Dean’s List status for six semesters and was the Scholar Athlete Rookie of the Year as a freshman.
Off the court, Mihalek was extremely active in student clubs and campus community service. She was a peer mentor, a Student Ambassador and provided class notes to students with disabilities. She also served as the Vice President of the Greek Cultural Organization and the Pre-Law Society while being the Public Relations Officer for the History Club.
