Michelle McGinniss will be entering her first season with the SUNY Oneonta Women’s Lacrosse Team after a standout four-year playing career at Susquehanna University (Selinsgrove, PA).
As a Susquehanna Crusader, McGinniss was a four-year starter in the midfield and a two-time captain. She ranks in the top 10 of nearly every statistical category in Susquehanna’s women’s lacrosse history with 204 career goals, 53 assists, 257 points, , 207 ground balls, and 96 caused turnovers. She also holds the program’s record in draw controls with 386.
McGinniss was a three-time IWLCA First Team All-Boardwalk Region player and a four-time Landmark All Conference player. In her senior season, she was named Landmark Conference Player of the Year and earned IWLCA 2nd Team All-American honors.
In her four seasons, McGinniss was a key player for the Crusaders that posted an overall record of 51-17. McGinniss led the team to its first ever Landmark Championship and NCAA appearance in 2013 with a second appearance in 2014 as well.
She received the Susquehanna Harnum Award which is given to the senior female student-athlete who best represents the ideals of intercollegiate athletics. She was the vice president of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) her senior year.
McGinniss graduated Cum Laude from Susquehanna University in 2014 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Corporate Communications and a minor in Advertising.
