Murphy begins his first season with the Red Dragons as a volunteer assistant coach after a successful four-year playing career at Plattsburgh. In 2013, the Cardinals won the SUNYAC championship.
Murphy was born and raised in Oneonta and played at Oneonta High School for Oneonta Hall of Famer Alex Brannan. He captained the Yellowjackets in his senior year, while also spending four years playing for premier club team B.C United Fusion.
Murphy graduated from Plattsburgh with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. In addition to his coaching duties, Sean will pursue a Masters degree in the Education Department.
