Rivera joins the coaching staff as a volunteer assistant coach after a decorated four-year career for the Red Dragons. During his playing career, Oneonta won three SUNYAC titles, made four NCAA tournament appearances that included a pair of semifinal appearances in 2011 and 2014.
Rivera was a four-year staring player for Oneonta during his career that began in 2011 as the SUNYAC and ECAC Upstate Rookie of the year. He was three times named to the conference All-Tournament Team and was a four-time All-SUNYAC selection including three First Team selections. Last fall he was named to the NCAA Championship All-Tournament Team. Rivera finished his career with 10 goals and 17 assists for 37 points.
Rivera completed his communications degree this past spring.
