In 2015-16, Medici will enter his 12th year as the head coach of the SUNY Oneonta men’s basketball program. During his tenure, he has built a program that prides itself on preparing young adults for their future challenges.
“We believe that learning time management is the key to college success in the classroom and on the court. This skill is one of many that you will learn here at Oneonta. Our passion for our players to succeed is something that future student athletes would truly appreciate.”
In 2014-15, Medici guided the Red Dragons to a sixth place finish in the SUNYAC, which qualified them for the conference tournament. He had a player earn First Team All-SUNYAC honors while having a player become the program’s all-time leading scorer.
Coach Medici stresses the importance of taking advantage of the educational and athletic opportunities that are available at Oneonta. His teams have performed well in the classroom and on the court during his tenure. This past summer the program was recognized by the NABC Honors Court for the team’s academic accomplishments. Five individuals were also honored for the performance in the classroom.
