ONEONTA, N.Y. -- Oneonta men's lacrosse junior
Thomas Hnis (Smithtown, N.Y./Kings Park) was named the SUNYAC Men's Lacrosse Offensive Athlete of the Week for the week of March 23-29, as announced by the conference Monday afternoon. Hnis finished the week with nine goals for nine points with four ground balls to help Oneonta go 1-1 with a win to kick off SUNYAC play this week.
The junior attackman started the week off with a hat trick in the Red Dragons battle with Geneseo. He then led Oneonta with six goals for six points while he collected three ground balls in their 12-11 conference opening win over Potsdam. Hnis currently leads the SUNYAC with 34 goals and is second with 45 points. Â
Oneonta (4-5, 1-0 SUNYAC) is on the road for their next game on Friday, April 3, against Morrisville (5-3, 0-1 SUNYAC) at 7 pm.
