ONEONTA, N.Y. -- The Oneonta wrestling team will have 10 Red Dragons travel to Ithaca to compete in the 2026 NCAA Division III Region II Championships on Friday and Saturday, February 27 and 28 at Glazer Arena. The tournament consists of 20 institutions, and, along with naming the regional champion, the top three placers from all 10 weight divisions will clinch an automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on March 13 and 14. Â
All spectators must purchase a ticket in order to gain access to Glazer Arena. There will only be single day sales for this event, no "All-Session" passes are available. Admission prices are $10 for adults, $5 for senior citizens and students, and free for children under two. Listed below are links to the live streams and live results, including a free stream link to the Championship matches on Saturday which are set to begin at approximately 1:30 pm that day.

The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) have six Red Dragons ranked in the region. Those ranked are Cortright (4th at 133), Leonard (4th at 141), Monica (5th at 165), DeForest (7th at 174), LiCastri (2nd at 197), and Jackson (4th at 285). In the media poll from 'The Open Mat', three Red Dragons are ranked nationally. Ryan is ranked second at 184, Leonard is 14th at 141, and Cortright is listed 19th at 133.
As a team, Oneonta is ranked 24th in The Open Mat's Team Tournament rankings. Other teams from Region 2 that are ranked are Stevens (9th) and RIT (25th), while Ithaca is ranked 25th in the Team Dual rankings.
Colloca posted a 12-15 record at 125 pounds for Oneonta with four falls, two techs, and one major. He has beaten Ithaca's Cosmo Damiani, who is ranked sixth in the region, twice in a 10-5 decision at the NYS Collegiate Championships and again with a 17 second fall in the SUNYAC Championships. Colloca also defeated Oswego's Juan Roque, the eighth ranked wrestler in the region, in an 8-5 decision. The bracket's top seed is Penn. St. Behrend's Evan Whiteside, who Colloca faced at the Lycoming Invitational, but the match was called after he suffered an injury at 2:17.
Cortright will compete at 133 pounds as he recorded a record of 16-2 with five falls, one tech, and one major. He was crowned the SUNYAC Champion and finished third at the RIT Invitational and the Lycoming Invite. Cortright defeated both Brockport's Makhare Rogers and Cortland's Rocco Futia, who are respectively ranked sixth and eighth in the region, en route to winning his conference championship in January. The top seed in the bracket is Lycoming's Bobby Gardener with Ithaca's Jay McDonnell, who was ranked 13th in the nation, as the second seed.
Boroweic is wrestling at 141 pounds for the Red Dragons and finished his freshman season at 20-13 with four pins and four tech falls. He earned second place at the Lycoming Invitational and fifth at the NYS Championships. Boroweic has not competed against anyone that is currently ranked in the region, and he will have Stevens' Nico Diaz (2nd in the nation) and Ithaca's Isaias Torres (7th in the nation) as the top seeds of his bracket.
Leonard will wrestle at 149 pounds for Oneonta after he put up a 25-4 record with two falls, 19 techs, and one major at 141. He is unranked at 149, though he finished the season ranked fourth in the region at 141. Leonard bested Cortland's Culley Bellino, who is ranked eighth in the region at 141 lbs., twice at 141, and Region two's third ranked 141-pounder, RIT's Isaiah Shafer in an 11-5 decision at the RIT Invitational. Leonard competed at 149 pounds last year in the Region II Championships and finished fourth place. This year he will have Stevens' Cole Handlovic (4th in the nation), and Cortland's Angelo Centrone (6th in the nation) near the top of the bracket.
Competing at 157 pounds for Oneonta is Rappold, who finished the season 10-6 which included six pins, one tech, and one major. This season, he earned fourth place at the SUNYAC Championships. Rappold has not faced anyone that is currently ranked in the region, as Stevens' Ryan Smith, who is ranked sixth nationally, will be at the top of the bracket.
Monica is the Red Dragons 165-pounder and ended the regular season 24-5 with seven falls, eight tech falls, and six majors. In a strong sophomore showing, he was crowned champion at the Anchorman Invitational and NYS Championships, earned second at the SUNYAC Championships and the Wilkes Invite, and third at the Lycoming Invitational. Monica defeated Ithaca's Chris Reddy, who is ranked seventh in Region 2, in a 5-1 decision and beat the Bombers Brian Bienus, seventh ranked 157-pounder in region 2, in an 11-0 major at the SUNYAC Championships. He competed against Penn St. Behrend's Mason Savitz and Elmira's Donovan Smith (both are respectively ranked third and fourth in the region) but came up short in the decisions. The top seed is Lycoming's Kaiden Wagner, who is ranked eighth in the nation heading into the tournament.
DeForest wrestled at 174 pounds for Oneonta during the season and posted a 12-4 record with seven pins, one tech, and two majors. He earned fifth place at the SUNYAC Championships and the Lycoming Invite. DeForest scored a 19-4 tech fall in 6:26 on Oswego's Jayden Kiell, the eighth ranked 174-pounder in Region 2, in the Red Dragons dual victory over the Lakers. The bracket will consist of Ithaca's Konrad Parker (eighth in the nation) and Lycoming's Nolen Zeigler (11th in the nation). DeForest wrestled Zeigler at the Lycoming Invite, where he came up short in a 7-3 decision.
Ryan will look to qualify for nationals for the fourth time in his career at 184 pounds as he finished the season with a 13-1 record that included nine pins and three majors. He has not competed against anyone ranked in Region 2 this season, but he did compete against the nation's top-ranked 184-pounder, Elizabethtown's Ganon Smith, where he was tripped up in a 5-2 decision. Though he is unranked in the region and nation, Ryan was the top-ranked 184-pounder in the region and fifth in the nation midway through the season.
Ryan will be near the top of the bracket with Alfred State's Sean Malenfant (11th in the nation), Stevens' Noah MacIlroy (12th in the nation), and Ithaca's Xavier Pommells. While Ryan is ranked second nationally at 184 pounds in 'TheOpenMat' rankings, Malenfant is ranked ninth, Lycoming's Eli Crum is 17th, and MacIlroy is 18th.
LiCastri heads into regionals looking for his second straight trip to nationals. He finished the regular season 26-6 with 14 falls, one tech and four majors. LiCastri was crowned champion at the SUNYAC Championships, RIT Invitational, the Anchorman Invitational and the Wilkes Invite. He has defeated Brockport's Simon Lingle, ranked sixth in Region 2, three times in a 17-7 major at Wilkes, then a 17-4 major at the NYS Championships, and an 8-2 decision in the SUNYAC Championships. He came up short to fourth-ranked Penn. St. Behrend's Abe Keep at the Lycoming Invitational, then got revenge at the RIT Invitaional with a 1:32 fall. LiCastri has also defeated Elizabethtown's Will Davis, who is ranked fifth in Region 3, in a 4-2 decision. He is only behind Ithaca's Ryan Galka in the region, who is ranked 15th nationally.
Jackson will represent the Red Dragons at 285 pounds after he went 18-11 this season with 11 pins and four majors. He finished fourth place at the NYS Championships and the RIT Invitational, and fifth at the SUNYAC Championships. Jackson defeated Trinity's Emre Sensoy, who is ranked eighth in Region 1, in an 8-1 decision at the Manganaro Duals in Ursinus. He came up short in a 4-1 decision to Brockport's Mike Welsh, who is ranked third in the region, at the Wilkes Invite and to Ithaca's Kamdyn Dorchester (ranked second in Region 2) in the NYS Championships. The top seed of the bracket will be RIT's Josh Harkless, who is ranked third in the nation.
Both days of competition start at 10 am, with doors opening for spectators at 9 am.
