Foglia and Hutter Selected CSC Academic All-District

ONEONTA, N.Y. - Oneonta baseball seniors Anthony Foglia (Somers, NY/North Salem) and Logan Hutter (Smithtown, NY/Smithtown West/Smithtown) were named College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District on Tuesday afternoon. The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.

To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or significant reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his current institution. Nominated athletes must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's contests. For pitchers, at least 17 appearances or 35 innings pitched are required.

Both Foglia and Hutter were All-SUNYAC Second Team selections this past season, with Foglia earning SUNYAC All-Tournament Team recognition.

Foglia graduated with a 3.58 cumulative GPA in business economics, while Hutter graduated with a 3.52 GPA in adolescent education with a focus on biology.

The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes baseball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Select Academic All-District® recipients advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced July 1, 2025.
