Amanda Zuntag (Staten Island, NY/Notre Dame Academy) was named to the All-SUNYAC Second Team for her first All-Conference accolade of her career. These awards are nominated and voted on by the conference coaches.
Zuntag was the focal point of the Red Dragons success as she led the team in several categories including points (353), rebounds (226), blocks (22), field goal percentage (39.8), and was second on the team in steals (32). She led the SUNYAC in field goals made (148), was third in points (13.6) and rebounds (8.7) per game, and ninth in blocked shots.
The senior recorded nine double-doubles this season, eight were against SUNYAC opponents. Zuntag scored 15+ points in 12 games and recorded a season-high 21 points in Puerto Rico against Randolph College. She grabbed 12+ rebounds in four games, including a career-high 19 against Morrisville.
In conference play, Zuntag led the league in points per game (14.6), shooting 41.4 percent from the floor, and was second in rebounds (9.3).
The team finished the season 11-15 overall, 8-10 in conference play, and advanced to the SUNYAC semifinals where Zuntag scored the team-high 16 points.
