ONEONTA, N.Y. - The Oneonta women's swimming & diving team went 1-1 at the Hartwick Tri-Meet on Saturday afternoon. The Red Dragons fell to Hartwick 238-67 and defeated Potsdam 185-67. Senior Macyla Hodkinson had a highlight performance in the one-meter dive events, winning with a pool record of 239.25 points. The score also qualifies for the NCAA Regional meet.
Oneonta placed second in the 200-yard medley relay with junior Alexandria Bard (Duanesburg, NY/Duanesburg) and freshmen Sydney Richards (Rochester, NY), Krista Broussard (Chesterfield, VA/Thomas Dale), and Mary Bush (Binghamton, NY) finishing second at 2:06.91.
In the 1,000-yard freestyle, junior Alaska Lilliock (Malone, NY/Franklin Academy) placed fourth at 13:11.96, while junior Ashley Brousseau (Peru, NY/Peru Central) took fifth at 13:20.38.
Senior Alli LaBarbera (Lynbrook, NY/Lynbrook) swam a 2:09.05 to take second in the 200-yard freestyle. She then won the 100-yard freestyle at 57.81. Bard went on to take third in the 100-yard backstroke at 1:08.98.
Lilliock grabbed fourth in the 50-yard freestyle at 28.00, and junior Ashtyn Murphy (St. Cloud, MN) placed fifth at 28.22.
Junior Raina Willie (Stony Brook, NY/Ward Melville Senior) touched fourth in the 200-yard breaststroke at 3:13.11. Bush finished fourth in the 500-yard freestyle at 6:05.99, and Richards took fourth in the 100-yard butterfly at 1:06.85.
Oneonta concluded the swimming events with the 200-yard freestyle relay. Bard, Broussard, Lilliock, and LaBarbera placed second at 1:50.44.
Hodkinson also then second in the three-meter dive with 190.65 points.
Oneonta next hosts Delhi on Tue. Nov. 11 at 4 p.m.
