Oneonta Women's Soccer Places Six on CSC Academic All-District Team

ONEONTA, N.Y. - This week, the Oneonta women's soccer team had six student-athletes named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team. The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.

The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.

Seniors Kaiden Ring (East Greenbush, NY/Columbia), Bryanna Meehan (Roxbury, NY/Roxbury Central), Tara Nicholson (Bayside, NY/Archbishop Molloy), and juniors Gianna Hanner (Ridge, NY/Longwood), Emma Parente (Holtsville, NY/Sachem East), and Hannah McNally (Centereach, NY/Centereach) all received the honor. To be nominated, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and have participated in at least 90 percent of the team's games or started at least two-thirds of the team's contests.

The 2025 season marks the third time Ring and Nicholson earned CSC Academic All-District recognition. Ring played in all 16 games, starting 14, scoring two goals, and recording one assist. As a criminal justice and women's and gender studies major with a pre-law concentration, she has a cumulative GPA of 3.97. Nicholson started 15 games with 16 appearances and made two assists on the year. She is an exercise science major with a concentration in physical therapy and holds a 3.98 GPA.

Meehan, Hanner, and Parente all make all-district for the second time in their careers. Meehan was Oneonta's starting goalkeeper, recording 78 saves with four shutouts. She tallied a .765 save percentage with over 1,324 minutes played. An early chld/childhood ed (B-6) major, Meehan has a 3.66 GPA. Hanner played and started every game for the Red Dragons and led the team with three assists. The Ridge, NY, native currently has a 3.72 GPA studying psychology. Parente appeared in all 16 games for Oneonta. She scored one goal and made two assists. As an adolescence education: English and literature major, Parente has a cumulative GPA of 3.91. McNally started 15 of 16 games for the Oneonta backline and earns the CSC honor for the first time in her career. The digital & studio art major holds a 3.60 GPA.

Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced Dec. 16, 2025 (men) and Dec. 17, 2025 (women).
