Red Dragons Win Tri-Meet Against Delhi and Herkimer

ONEONTA, N.Y. - The Oneonta women's swimming & diving team recorded a solid performance Tuesday evening at the Chase PE pool, sweeping both sides of the tri-meet against Delhi and Herkimer. The Red Dragons captured victories in nearly every event, showcasing their depth across all distances.

The Oneonta women opened the meet with a win in the 400-yard medley relay, where the A-team of Alexandria Bard (Duanesburg, NY/Duanesburg), Raina Willie (Stony Brook, NY/Ward Melville Senior), Sydney Richards (Rochester, NY), and Alaska Lilliock (Malone, NY/Franklin Academy) touched first in 4:51.24.

Junior Ashley Brousseau (Peru, NY/Peru Central) (13:13.68) and senior Alyssa Thompson (Montgomery, NY/Valley Central) (13:19.81) finished 1–2 in the 1000 freestyle, while Lilliock added another win in the 200 freestyle (2:23.64).

Senior Alli LaBarbera (Lynbrook, NY/Lynbrook) led a standout day individually, winning the 100 backstroke (1:08.65), the 50 freestyle (26.83), and the 500 freestyle (6:04.23). Freshman Sydney Richards (Rochester, NY) also picked up multiple wins, taking the 100 breaststroke (1:18.59) and the 200 individual medley (2:30.48).

Oneonta swept the podium in the 200 free relay, led by Alyssa Thompson (Montgomery, NY/Valley Central), Hayes Dorgan, Kayleen Wingson (Valley Stream, NY/Valley Stream Central), and Raina Willie (Stony Brook, NY/Ward Melville Senior) with a first-place time of 2:14.92.

Seniors Macayla Hodkinson (Bethpage, NY/Bethpage) (233.45) and Maddie Boyar (159.75) swept the top two spots in the women's one-meter dive. Hodkinson's result is the second NCAA qualifying score this season.

The Red Dragons will return to action at the Electric City Invitational hosted by Marywood University from Nov. 21-23.
