ONEONTA, N.Y. - The Oneonta women's swimming & diving team took part in dual meet action against the Hartwick Hawks on Saturday afternoon, falling 182-88.
The Red Dragons opened with a second-place performance in the 400-medley relay. Alaska Liliock, Cadence Dudley (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta), Anna McCall (Ligonier, PA/Ligonier Valley), and Emma Stephenson (Owego, NY/Owego Free Academy) swam a 4:32.67. Junior Lena Nakken (Islip, NY/Islip) took second in the 1,000-freestyle with a time of 12:09.79. Senior Sophia Olson (Scotia, NY/Scotia Glenville) was second in the 200 freestyle, swimming a 2:08.72. Sophomore Jessica Shaw (Pearl River, NY/Pearl River) touched fourth at 2:14.62.
In the 100-backstroke, junior Emma Stephenson (Owego, NY/Owego Free Academy) finished second at 1:09.69.
The 50-freestyle saw the Red Dragons take second and third with sophomore Allison LaBarbera (Lynbrook, NY/Lynbrook) touching second at 27.24, and junior Callie Stinson (Alexandria, VA/West Potomac) going third at 27.68.
In the one-meter dive, sophomore Macayla Hodkinson (Bethpage, NY/Bethpage) scored 166.40 points for second overall. Junior Paige Splendido (Niskayuna, NY/Niskayuna) scored 154.15 to take third.
Stephenson finished second in the 100-freestyle at 58.30, and Shaw was third in the 200-backstroke with a 2:29.34.
In the 200-breaststroke, Dudley took third at 2:54.49. McCall won the 100-butterfly at 1:06.79.
The day concluded with LaBarbera, Nakken, Stinson, and Olson finishing second in the 200-freestyle relay at 1:48.26.
Oneonta next competes at the North Country Invitational on Nov. 17 at 4 p.m. in Potsdam, NY.
