The Inside Story
Game 1 – Oneonta 3, New Paltz 1

Rookie Julia Serena (White Plains/Valhalla) paced the offense in the opening game collecting two of the team's three hits including a solo home run in the second inning to give the Red Dragons a 1-0 lead.  The solo shot was Serena's eighth of the season.  She also added a double in the fifth and came around to score Oneonta's second run of the game on an error by New Paltz (25-25, 12-6 SUNYAC).

Oneonta's third run came in the fifth on a double steal where sophomore Victoria Hussey (Nesconset/Smithtown East) scored from third base.

Sophomore Marissa Dionisio (Sayville/Sayville) was solid on the mound for Oneonta picking up her ninth win of the season striking out two and allowing six hits over five innings.  Freshman Angelina Scalere (Ardsley/Ardsley) pitched two innings to pick up the save.

Game 2 – New Paltz 8, Oneonta 5
