The SUNY Oneonta baseball team (6-15, 0-5 SUNYAC) fell in the first two of their three game conference series against Brockport (16-2, 5-0 SUNYAC) Saturday afternoon. The Golden Eagles won game one 3-1, before taking the nightcap 2-0. Â

Game One – Oneonta 1, Brockport 3
In the bottom of the fourth inning, Brockport's Nicholas Pastrone got a second chance, after a dropped foul ball, and hit a three-run home run. Â
The Red Dragons got into a late rhythm in the ninth with a pair of one-out singles from junior
Jake Barrett (Hauppauge/St. Anthony's) and senior
Michael Sabatine (Fairport/Fairport). With one out remaining, junior
Liam Kaseta (Somers/Somers) singled to left field, and scored Barrett for Oneonta's lone run.
Kaseta finished game one 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Â
Freshman
Kyle Roper (Tappan/Tappan Zee) received the loss after pitching 6.0 innings, allowing three unearned runs, and striking out three. Junior
Logan Carriero (Somers/Somers) and sophomore
Kyle Rosenberger (Montgomery/Valley Central) pitched the final two innings and each recorded a strike out. Â
Andrew Huffman pitched a complete game and struck out 14 for Brockport.
Game Two – Oneonta 0, Brockport 2
The Golden Eagles scored the only runs of game two in the second with a single to center field from James Houlahan. Â
Junior
Sean Liquori (Thiells/North Rockland) went 2-for-3 with a double, and classmate
Nate Guillen (Haverstraw/North Rockland) went 1-for-3. Senior
Michael Losak (Merrick/Sanford H. Calhoun) pitched a complete game, allowed six hits, two runs, and struck out three. Â
