The SUNY Oneonta women's basketball team raced to a 23-4 lead in the first quarter enroute to a 70-43 rout of Fredonia today on the road. The bounce back win for the Red Dragons put them one game over the .500 mark at 11-10 overall while raising its SUNYAC record to 8-6.

The Inside Story
Oneonta didn't miss too much in the opening two quarters hitting 19 of 33 shots from the filed including 4-of-9 from behind the arc. The Red Dragons trailed 2-0 then exploded for 21 unanswered points to put the game out of reach by the time the buzzer sounded to end the first quarter.

Oneonta forced 20 Fredonia turnovers that led to 23 points on the other end. Eleven of the 13 players that participated in today's game scored at least two points.

Three players scored in double figures led by sophomore
Molly Stephens (LaGrange/Arlington) who tallied 15 points. Classmate
Jenna Harclerode (Sayville/Sayville) added 12 points while freshman
Nadia Brown (Troy/Troy) contributed 11 points. Harclerode was the leader on the boards pulling down seven rebounds.

What's Next
Oneonta will play its final four games of the regular season in the friendly confines of Dewar Arena beginning this Friday versus rival Cortland. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30pm.
