New Paltz, NY - The SUNY Oneonta women's swimming and diving squad suffered a loss to their SUNYAC foes coming out on a short end of a 158-104 meet competition.
The Red Dragons did get some wins on the day when in the 100 yard backstroke senior
Erin Clune (Kerhonkson/Rondout Valley) took the top position touching the wall at 1:01.25 outdistancing the runner-up from New Paltz. Â
In the women's 50 yard freestyle juniors
Kayla Keddy (Queensbury/Queensbury) and
Kimberly Colella (East Northport/Commack) came in one and two respectively timing in at 26.70 and 26.90. In the 50-yard breastsroke the Red Dragons took winner and runner-up as sophomore
Emma Stephenson (Owego/Owego Free Academy) and junior
Samantha Sanchez (Yorktown Heights/Yorktown) had times of 33.53 and 36.45. Â
The SUNY Oneonta women's swimming and diving squad now prepare for the year-end championships which begin on Wednesday, February 16th at the Erie County Community College swimming complex in Buffalo, NY.
