The SUNY Oneonta women's lacrosse team cruised to a 20-2 victory over the University of Northwestern in Hilton Head, South Carolina. The win lifts the Red Dragons record to 3-2 on the year.

The Inside Story
Lily Avazis (Port Washington/Schreiber) paced the Oneonta offense with five points, scoring a pair of goals while dishing out three assists. Isabella Marx (Dix Hills/Half Hollow Hills East) finished with a hat-trick while Maggee Sheridan (Warwick/Warwick Valley), Deirdre Buckley (Merrick/Kellenberg Memorial) and Tessa Hughes (Delmar/Bethlehem Central) joined Avazis with two goals apiece. Shannon Giddens (Franklin Square/H Frank Carey) matched Avazis with three assists.

Lila Allison (Loudonville/Shaker) picked up a team-high four groundballs while Victoria Varone (Commack/Commack) won nine draw controls. Oneonta outshot Northwestern 36-5 for the game. Goalie Lexi Keen (Clifton Park/Shenendehowa) made one save for the Red Dragons in net.
