A 26-point final quarter for SUNY Oneonta erased a three-point deficit, as the Red Dragons pulled out a 73-65 win versus Brockport in SUNYAC women's action. The victory for Oneonta was key in the race for a playoff spot in the conference. The Red Dragons are now 7-11 overall and 4-7 in the SUNYAC.

An old-fashion three-point play by senior
Leanne Corso (Commack/Commack) started things in the fourth quarter for Oneonta. Another three-point play by senior
Olivia Allrich (Ballston Spa/Ballston Spa) started a 9-1 burst for the Red Dragons, as they seized control of the contest. Allrich led Oneonta with a season high 20 points in the game while Corso contributed 12 points.

Junior
Clara Culeton (Oswego/Oswego) was huge down the stretch scoring six straight points for Oneonta to finish with 10 points off the bench. The Red Dragons also were clutch from the free throw line making 8-of-10 during the final 1:06 of the game.

Brockport led 3-2 early in the first quarter before Oneonta ran off eight unanswered to grab a 10-3 lead midway through. The Red Dragons continued to lead the rest of the quarter taking a 13-8 advantage into the second quarter. Senior
Casey Hayes (New Hyde Park/Sewanhaka) and Allrich combined for 10 points to lead the way.

The Golden Eagles had a stronger second quarter battling back late to take a 27-26 lead. The Red Dragons maintained its lead for most of the quarter until an 8-2 run by the visitors erased a 24-19 deficit.

Brockport outscored Oneonta 23-17 in the third quarter to carry a 50-47 lead into the final stanza. The Golden Eagles got 11 points from Bailey Pratt, who buried three from behind the arc in the quarter.

Oneonta outrebounded Brockport 43-32 including 16-5 on the offensive glass. Corso and classmate
Casey Hayes (New Hyde Park/Sewanhaka) shared high honors with nine boards apiece. Hayes finished the game with 13 points. The Red Dragons collected 15 assists led by freshman
Olivia Dobrovosky's (Skaneateles/Skaneateles) six dimes. Dobrovosky also added a season high 13 points.
