Joseph Bull (Bronx, NY/Mount St. Michael Academy) scored a game high 25 points to pace the SUNY Oneonta men's basketball team to a lopsided 89-54 victory at SUNY Geneseo today. The win got the Red Dragons back on track pushing its SUNYAC record to 5-1 and 9-4 overall.

"I thought our guys bounced back really well today after last night," said Head Coach
Cameron Conover. "We came into the game with great focus, especially on the defensive end, which ignited our offense. It helps when you shoot the ball well too. We will enjoy a day off tomorrow and get back to work Monday."

The Inside Story
Midway through the first half, Oneonta held a slim 21-18 lead. The Red Dragons then began to pull away from the Knights building a 45-32 advantage entering halftime. Bull scored 21 of his 25 points in the opening twenty minutes. Bull made 8-of-10 shots from the field including 3-of-3 from behind the arc.

Oneonta put today's game way out of reach in the opening six minutes of the second half pushing its lead to 27 points on a three-pointer by senior
Ian Schultz (Clifton Park, NY/CBA). Another push ballooned the lead to its highest of 37 points with just over six minutes remaining in the game.

Just the Stats
The Red Dragons didn't miss much today shooting at a rate of 57 percent including 63 percent in the second half. Oneonta made 14-of-26 shots from behind the arc and collected nine steals that led to 19 points on 17 turnovers by Geneseo.

Kevin Mackin (Nanuet, NY/Nanuet) and
Harrison Deegan (Putnam Valley, NY/Putnam Valley) who scored 20 points and 11 points respectively.

Oneonta will travel to Oswego Tuesday night to face the Lakers beginning at 7:30pm.
