Cortland (9-4, 4-0 SUNYAC) got off to a fast start, netting the first three goals of the game. Oneonta (6-8, 1-3 SUNYAC) finally got on the board with 5:33 remaining in the first quarter when
Thomas Moore (Rockville Centre/South Side) connected with
Andrew Stamatel (Glens Falls/Glens Falls). After Cortland tallied three straight goals, including two with a man-advantage, Oneonta got themselves back into the game with goals from
Thomas Moore (Rockville Centre/South Side) and
Andrew Stamatel (Glens Falls/Glens Falls). With 6:28 remaining in the first half, Cortland took control of the game by scoring eight unanswered goals to take a commanding 14-3 lead.
Andrew Stamatel (Glens Falls/Glens Falls) ended Cortland's run with 7:53 remaining in the third quarter with his 14 goal of the season. Stamatel would add another goal late in the third quarter to wrap up the scoring for Oneonta.
