Softball drops pair to No. 8 East Texas Baptist

A Quick Look
The SUNY Oneonta softball team dropped a doubleheader to No. 8 nationally ranked East Texas Baptist University today.  The losses for the Red Dragons drop them to 2-4 overall after three days of its Texas spring trip.
 
The Inside Story
East Texas Baptist scored a single run in the first and added two more in the sixth to take game 1 3-0.
 
Oneonta starter, Alyssa Bluethgen (Commack/Commack), was solid holding the Tigers to just six hits and striking out three batters.
 
Three runs in both the first and third and another two runs in the fourth pushed the Tigers past Oneonta 8-0 in five innings for game 2.
 
Just the Stats
Oneonta managed just six hits today with no player recording more than one hit.
 
What's Next
Oneonta will play at Hendrix College tomorrow for a pair of games starting at 4:30pm.  The doubleheader was moved up one day due to expected rain on Thursday.
