The SUNY Oneonta men's lacrosse team snapped its four-game skid today in a big way running past Elmira College 23-2. The win for the Red Dragons raised its record to 3-4 overall while the Soaring Eagles fell to 1-4.

Oneonta jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead enroute to putting the game out of reach early taking a 9-1 lead into the second quarter. Senior
Stephen Panno (Holtsville/Sachem East) and sophomore
Thomas McRae (Northport/Northport) each tallied a pair of goals in the first quarter.

The Red Dragons added four more goals in the second quarter to grab a commanding 13-2 lead at halftime. Sophomore
Ryan MacDevitt (Sayville/Sayville) registered two goals,
Matthew Trudeau (Watervliet/Shaker) contributed a goal and an assist and McRae added a pair of helpers in the quarter.

Oneonta finished the final two quarters with ten unanswered goals including seven in the third quarter. Freshman
John Hawkins (East Greenbush/Columbia) scored the first three goals of his collegiate career to cap the scoring in the fourth quarter. Sophomores
Chris Higgins (Farmingville/Sachem East) and
Santiago Cardona (Montrose/Hendricks Hudson) scored their first two goals of the season in the third quarter. Sophomore
Andrew Hodgens (Syracuse/Westhill) contributed three assists in the final two quarters.
