Oneonta, NY (Hartwick College) - The city rival swim off goes to the Hartwick Hawks as the women were on the short end of a 177-112 score.Â
Some highlights for the Red Dragons to report notably in the 100 yard backstroke with sophomore
Erin Clune (Kerhonkson/Rodout Valley) turning in a win for her team with a time of 1:03.92 just over a second ahead of the Hartwick runner-up.  The 100 yard breaststroke had a Red Dragon champ as senior
Kelly Carey (Suffern/Suffern) reported a time of 1:09.18 just .32 seconds ahead of her rival from Hartwick.Â
The 50 yard freestyle had two Red Dragons take winner and runner-up as sophomore
Melissa Kelly (Massapequa/Massapequa) and senior
Ashley Searing (Seaford/Seaford) reported times of 28.57 and 30.66 respectfully.Â
The one-meter dive had two SUNY women earn the winner, runner-up third place honors with junior
Samantha Giler (Chester/Monroe-Woodbury), sophomore
Danielle Shaw (Pearl River/Pearl River) and Leah Rosario dominating that event.  Shaw was also the lone diver and winner in the three-meter dive wrapping up the Red Dragon wins on the afternoon.
Next up for the Red Dragons is a trip to Wilkes (Wilkes University), PA and the Diamond City Invitational on Saturday and Sunday November 23rd and 24th with the first action getting underway at 9 AM on that Saturday.
