Flushing Meadow, NY - On the grounds of the National Tennis Center the Oneonta Red Dragon men ended their fall season with a tough loss to Baruch College 5-4.
Doubles was a tough start for senior
Marco Ammirati (Huntington/Huntington) and junior
Riley Smith (Westhampton Beach/Westhampton Beach) as they never really threatend and lost 8-2. However, the doubles portion of the match was salvaged as freshman Jacob Dornsife and sophomore
Matthew Reinhold (New Windsor/Newburgh Free Academy) held onto win a close contest 8-7 (7-5) at second flight. The third flight saw senior
Kiran Narsipur (Ossining/Ossining) playing his final match of his career joining with junior
Ben Cohen (Dresher, PA/Upper Dublin) and they were dominant triumphing 8-1Â securing a 2-1 lead for the Red Dragons going into the singles portion.
Singles was problematic for the Red Dragon men as they could only muster wins from the fourth and fifth flights. Smith won convincingly in straight sets 6-2, 6-2 while senior
Alexander Reiley (Manorville/Eastport) won in lopsided fashion 6-1, 6-1 respectfully . The Red Dragon drop to 1-1 on the young 2019/20 campaign.Â
