The SUNY Oneonta women's soccer team ran its current unbeaten streak to four games today with a 1-0 victory at home against Fredonia. The senior tandem of
Christina Kornfeld (Mount Sinai/Miller Place) and
Abby Ousouljoglou (Bridgewater/Bridgewater Raritan Regional) came through, as the Red Dragons move to 2-0 in conference play and 4-2-3 overall.

The Inside Story
After the two teams battled to a scoreless first half, Kornfeld finally got Oneonta on the scoreboard in the 50
th minute.

The play started with Ousouljoglou moving past a defender in the lower part of the box. She then laid a pass back to a charging Kornfeld who one-timed a low shot into the far right corner of the goal. For Kornfeld, it was her team-leading sixth goal of the season.

Fredonia nearly tied the game in the 79
th minute when Nicki Barlow found herself in position from about 10 yards out and to the right. She fired a shot that was heading for the left corner, but freshman
Hannah Kelly (Monroe/Monroe Woodbury) was stationed on the line and stopped the shot from going in before clearing it out of the box.

Oneonta outshot the Blue Devils 21-3 overall with 11 of Oneonta's shots being on frame.Â
Claire Lepper (Poland/Poland) recorded a pair of saves for Oneonta while her counterpart, Sabrina Suriani, made 10 stops.
