A Quick Look
The SUNY Oneonta volleyball team wrapped up SUNYAC play with a 3-1 victory over Potsdam on Saturday afternoon at Dewar Arena. The win lifts the Red Dragons record to 19-6 overall and 6-3 in the SUNYAC.
The Inside Story
The Red Dragons took the first set 25-14. Freshman
Carsyn Rachuta (Holbrook/Sachem North) got Oneonta off to a fast start when led her team with an early 7-0 run from the service.
Kathryn Johnston (Altamont/Guilderland) and
Adriana Losier (Fishkill/John Jay) had two kills apiece on the run.
Potsdam rallied for a 25-20 win in the second set before the Red Dragons took the third and fourth sets with scores of 25-23 and 25-20.
Just the Stats
Clara Culeton (Oswego/Oswego) and Victoria Moulder (Wantagh/Kellenberg Memorial) paced Oneonta with 12 kills apiece. Moulder also added a career high eight blocks in the victory while Culeton had two. Kathryn Johnston (Altamont/Guilderland) chipped in with ten kills. Carsyn Rachuta (Holbrook/Sachem North) had four service aces and ten digs while Jessica Fowler (Burnt Hills/Burnt Hills) had 3 aces along with 47 assists. Katelyn McDonough (Guilderland/Guilderland) gathered a team high 14 digs while Lindsay Pelaccio (Verplanck/Hendrick Hudson) had 11. Â

The Red Dragons return to action on Saturday, October 26
th when they travel to Mount Saint Vincent for a non-conference tilt beginning at 11:00am.
