The SUNY Oneonta women's basketball team breezed to a 56-43 win at Buffalo State this afternoon. The Red Dragons used a 22-point third quarter to break open the contest building itself a 24-point lead. Junior
Leanne Corso (Commack/Commack) led Oneonta (13-2, 7-1 SUNYAC) with a game high 16 points.

The Red Dragons trailed once in the game at 7-6 midway through the first quarter before putting together an 10-1 run to close out the opening quarter. Sophomore reserves
Sydney Trumble (Ithaca/Ithaca) and
Clara Culeton (Oswego/Oswego) combined for seven points to fuel the run.

Corso scored five of Oneonta's 11 second quarter points, as the Red Dragons went into halftime with a 27-17 lead.

Oneonta stormed out of the locker room and put together a 14-5 burst in the first five minutes of the third quarter to break open the game. Five players each scored four points during the outburst including Corso,
Alexa Amalbert (Nanuet/Nanuet),
Olivia Allrich (Ballston Spa/Ballston Spa),
Madeline Frank (Syracuse/Jamesville-Dewitt) and
Casey Hayes (New Hyde Park/Sewanhaka).

Oneonta converted 29 Buffalo State (8-6, 2-5 SUNYAC) turnovers into 27 points while scoring 36 points in the paint.
