Volleyball takes down city rival Hartwick
ONEONTA, NY – In the 44
th all-time meeting between the Red Dragons and their city rival the Hartwick Hawks, Oneonta took three out of four sets for a 3-1 victory on Wednesday evening on the road. The win brings Oneonta season record to 3-2, and the loss levels the Hawks to 2-2.
After taking the first set, 25-18, the Red Dragons dropped the second set to Hartwick, 25-23. Oneonta battled back for a third set victory, 25-21, and went on to take the match after securing a 25-19 fourth set victory.

For the Red Dragons sophomore
Gillian Stieglitz (Montrose/Hendrick Hudson) had a match high 15 kills. Senior
Melissa Voyer (Baldwinsville/C.W. Baker) filled up the stat sheet with a total of eight kills, three service aces, four blocks and eight digs. Sophomore setter
Jessica Fowler (Burnt Hills/Burnt Hills) added 43 assists to bring her season total to 146. Freshman
Clara Culeton (Oswego/Oswego) had a match high of six blocks, one solo and five block assists.

The Red Dragons look to carry momentum as they head this weekend to the Union College Invitational where they open up play against Skidmore College at 2:00pm on Friday.
