The SUNY Oneonta baseball team traveled to Diamond Nation in Flemington, New Jersey to take on the Dickinson College Red Devils in a double-header. In the first game the Red Dragons were made four fielding mistakes that aided three unearned runs to score. In the second game of the double-header the Red Devils benefited from three home runs to beat Oneonta 7-5.
 
On the day, junior transfer Chris Saitch (Kingston/Kingston) went 4-8 with four RBI and two runs scored. Freshman Brandon LaVenture (Schenectady/Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons) went 2-3 the included a pinch-hit RBI double. Junior Brandon Torres (Highland Mills/Monroe-Woodbury) went 3-8 with a walk and three runs scored.
 
Junior Nicholas Ponesse (Newburgh/Valley Central) pitched four innings for the Red Dragons while only allowing two earned runs. In relief junior James McCarty (Stony Brook/Chaminade) and sophomore Robert Ottaviano (Nanuet/Albertus Magnus) each pitched four innings and only allowed two earned runs.
 
The Red Dragons are back in action on March 6^th in Tennessee against the Maryville Scots.
