The SUNY Oneonta women's basketball team got 24 points from senior
Cara Adams (Attleboro, MA/Bishop Feehan) tonight, as she led them to a 69-57 win against host Buffalo State. Adams bettered her career mark of 23 points scored two weeks ago in win over Oswego, as she continues to lead this year's squad.

The win for Oneonta raised its overall record to 9-7 overall and 6-3 in the SUNYAC while the loss for the Bengals dropped them to 6-11 overall and 3-7 in conference play.

The Red Dragons shot a season high 48 percent tonight hitting 27-of-57 in recording its second most points this season. Oneonta had three players reach double figures including sophomore
Madeline Frank (Syracuse/Jamesville-Dewitt) and freshman
Alexa Amalbert (Nanuet/Nanuet) who both scored 10 points. Frank also added a team high eight rebounds.

Oneonta carried a 33-27 lead into halftime and then seized control in the third period with 23 points and holding the Bengals to 11 points. Half of Oneonta's points came in the paint with layup after layup. The Red Dragons finished the game outscoring Buffalo 34-16 in the paint.

Oneonta built its lead to as many as 21 points early in the fourth period. Seniors
Sara DiPasquale (Buffalo, NY/Cardinal O'Hara) and
Kathryn Polletta (Ossining/Ossining) led the reserves tonight with six points each.

Oneonta will face Fredonia tomorrow beginning at 4pm.
