Â
The Lakers created some breathing room with a pair of goals to take a 6-2 lead with 5:25 remaining in the third quarter before Oneonta seized the momentum.
Â
The sophomore tandem of Doody and
Alec Solomito (Holtsville/Sachem East) combined to rip off three straight goals for Oneonta over the final 3:35 of the period. Solomito fed Doody three times before he rifled three shots that found the back of the goal. Oneonta headed to the fourth period down 6-5.
